Before the clinical process begins
Studio participation is required.
Your interest request may name any Iowa artist or studio, including one that does not currently participate with Reverie. With your permission, Reverie can share information with the studio and begin a partnership conversation.
An interest request is not a clinical referral, an appointment, or a guarantee of anesthesia service. A formal referral is submitted later by a participating artist after the tattoo date and time have been set.
For Clients
How the process works.
Reverie coordinates anesthesia care around your existing tattoo appointment at a participating Iowa studio. You meet Reverie at the studio; you do not travel to a separate Reverie location for anesthesia before the tattoo.
1. Start the conversation
Tell Reverie which Iowa artist or studio you are working with. If the studio does not yet participate, your interest may help begin a partnership conversation.
2. Receive an artist referral
After the studio is participating and your tattoo date and time are set, your artist submits a formal referral to Reverie with the appointment and tattoo details.
3. Complete clinical review
Reverie sends you a confidential health-history form. Ian Lindsey, CRNA, reviews your health history to determine whether anesthesia is appropriate and safe for you. Submitting the form does not automatically approve or confirm anesthesia service.
4. Meet Reverie at the studio
If service is clinically approved and arranged, a Reverie anesthesia provider meets you at the participating tattoo studio and coordinates onsite care with your artist.

Enter the approximate width and height of the tattooed area. For tattoos above 10 square inches, the estimate includes a quarter-inch clinical margin around every side to support proper numbing. Your final treatment plan and price are confirmed after clinical review.

Ian Lindsey, CRNA, personally administers your local anesthetic and oversees your care throughout the numbing process.
Tattoos at or below 10 square inches cost $250 with no added pricing margin. For tattoos above 10 square inches, a quarter-inch clinical margin is added around every side and pricing uses the resulting numbed area. Each square inch of numbed area above 10 costs $20. Use the estimator above for a preliminary price; a $100 non-refundable deposit confirms an appointment.
